Mission Hall is a Grade II listed Arts and Crafts building, which has been converted into a dwelling following internal alterations and new modern addition.
The Hall itself remains open to retain its original ‘feel’ and therefore successfully lends itself to an open plan kitchen, dining and living area.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are locate within a new modern extension, with a new main entrance positioned between the two structures, within a glazed link.
This ‘modern’ intervention combined with relatively minor alterations to the listed building, ensures the proposals did not have any significant impact on the appearance or setting of the listed building. The Hall therefore remains as the predominant structure on the site with the extension and link designed to appear as subservient additions.
